Officers Carry Out Overtime Town Centre Patrols

Yesterday, officers conducted dedicated mobile patrols within the town centre as part of ongoing work to tackle crime, deter anti-social behaviour and provide reassurance to the community.

Using marked police vehicles, officers carried out patrols across key areas of the town centre, maintaining a visible presence and responding to concerns raised by local businesses, residents and visitors. The patrols focused on identifying issues affecting the area, disrupting criminal activity and ensuring those using the town centre felt safe.

Throughout the operation, officers engaged with members of the public, gathered information regarding local concerns and monitored areas that have been highlighted as priorities for neighbourhood policing teams.

These additional patrols are part of our continued commitment to keeping the town centre safe and addressing the issues that matter most to our communities.
